Republic Vanguard:

Unstoppable and utterly fearless, Vanguards are the first and best line of defense in the Jedi Military. A vanguard was a type of trooper that appeared during the years of the Great Galactic War and the Cold War that followed it circa 3,653 BBY. Vanguards served the Galactic Republic and were known for their proficiency with blaster rifles and personal energy shields as well as their phenomenal durability on the battlefield. These days the Vanguard are made up of remnants fron the wars and clones who defied orders during the Clone Wars who still live.

Special Abilities:

Assault Weapon Training: At level five the Vanguard learns to fight with the traditional weapons of the Republic Trooper. If the Vanguard is already trained with Blaster Rifles then he gains a rank in Blaster Pistols, if he isn't already able to use a Blaster Rifle then he learns to use one and gains a rank in the Precision Combat Form.

Force Obliterator, Passifier, and Bane: The Vanguard is specially trained to fight the Jedi’s ancient enemy, the Sith and recently also the Jensaarai. At level six the Vangaurd is known as a Force Obliterator and any damage he does against a Sith or Jensaarai is one and half times the usual amount. At level ten he becomes a Force Passifier and the damage multiplier against Sith or Jensaarai is increased to two times. Finally, at level thirteen, the Vanguard becomes a Force Bane; any damage he does against a Sith or Jensaarai is increased to two and a half times the normal amount.

Weapon Focus: At seventh level the Vanguard gains the Weapon Focus perk. He gets to choose the weapon.

Dodge: At level eight the Vanguard gains the Dodge perk even if he doesn’t meet the prerequisites. Should the Vanguard already possess the Dodge perk then he may take another combat-oriented perk of his choice.

Martial Arts: At ninth level the Vanguard gains the Martial Arts perk. If he already possesses this perk then he may choose a different combat-oriented one instead.

Expert Soldier: At eleventh level the Vanguard chooses a specific type of military unit (infantry, cavalry, marine, grenadier, etc.) that he has been trained to be part of. When fighting in this sort of group he fights more effectively than normal.

Combat Mastery: At level twelve the Vanguard gains a rank in the Combat Form of his choice.

Expert Squad Leader: The many battles the Vanguard has fought in have taught him how to effectively lead a unit in combat. When in a unit of the same type as his Expert Soldier ability the others in the squad receive the same benefits as the Vanguard does from Expert Soldier.
